This year we have the privilege of holding the Wigan Armed Forces Day at Leigh Sports Village. There is no ticket cost but there will be a huge selection of activities and displays, such as, 2 painted cockpit flight simulators of a spitfire and messerschmidt,  a large model display of a spitfire, a large display from Pegasus including vehicles and weaponry from past conflicts and a display from the West Lancs Military Vehicle Trust and much more.

There will be a parade marching through the streets of leigh that will end in Leigh Sports Village that will consist of members of the Wigan veteran community and the cadet community.

The event will be held from 10am to 4pm, there will be a free bus running from Leigh bus station and 2 free busses running from Wigan bus station.

We look forward to seeing you there.

i am ex lancashire fusiliers who is wheel chairbound,i have a veterans badge,i am really looking forward to this day 26/06/2010,,
